Attend the PoMoCo Greens Annual General Meeting on March 6

The world’s green future wants YOU to attend the joint Annual General Meeting

of your local Green Party Electoral District Associations for Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam and Port Moody-Coquitlam

Sunday, 6 March 2016, 2:00-4:00 pm

at Coquitlam Center Library today!

Why?   Especially in the years between elections, all political organizations need an annual dose of member support, advice, energy, and voting to keep moving in the right direction. Bring your green energy and help set our course for 2016!

What’s up?   Come hear our review of the past year, take stock of the busy Green year ahead, elect new executive-team officers, and help us take care of other assorted business. More like fun than work, actually, and it all takes less than an hour.  Then feel free to stay on and socialize with the incredibly smart and friendly fellow Greens in your ‘hood!

Where?  We’re meeting at a large conference room at the Coquitlam Center Library, 1169 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC V3B 0Y1.

Some things for you to think about beforehand.

  • MEMBERSHIP. First, you’ll need to have your Green Party of Canada membership in good order so that you can vote at the meeting. Check that.
  • YES, OFFICER! Second, please consider whether you’d like to step up and volunteer for any of our Executive Officer positions.  Nominations will be open for CEO (Chief Executive Officer),  Financial Agent, and the officers for Social Media, Volunteer Coordinating, Fundraising, and Membership.  You’ll find a list of role descriptions in a blog post on this website. If you might be interested in running for one of these positions, please let us know so that we can get your details to share with the members attending the AGM.

The same but different!  Because we Greens of the TriCity area get on so well together and share so many issues in common, this year our two local EDAs (Port Moody-Coquitlam and Coquitlam-Port Coquitlam) will be holding their distinct and separate AGM meetings under the same roof.  That’s why you’re receiving this joint announcement from both groups.

Thanks, and see you there!
